The Elmwood Quilters make prayer quilts that are sewn with love, fellowship and laughter. The quilts are freely given to people in the congregation and community who are experiencing life changes or challenges including: illness, bereavement, moves, graduations, etc. We are proud to present several quilts each year to Tiny Homes for Good in Syracuse to welcome new homeowners into their homes. Some quilts are machine sewn and quilted; some are made by hand; and some by a combination of the two. Quilters meet year-round in a large, dedicated room off of Fellowship Hall, fully furnished with sewing machines, fabric and batting. Seasoned quilters, sewers new to quilting, and people who have never done either are all welcome. Newcomers are taught, and ideas are exchanged. All are welcome to join us!
